To ensure a fresher tasting beer we crush the malted barley
through a Bamford roller/crusher mill situated in the old Wales. The barley
is then augered through to the mash tun in England. From here it goes
through the control panel and into the copper for boiling and hopping.
After being cooled it is pumped back into the fermenters back in Wales
for conditioning and racking.
Our brewer Alan McKenzie came with the plant with which he has brewed
nearly 2 million pints over the past 18 years. In Lancashire he is affectionately
know as Alan "the god father" McKenzie having earned many awards
for his beer both regionally and nationally. He continues to work his
mastery here at The Offa's Dyke Brewery.
The below beers are available in 1 pint bottles, four and eight pint containers,
3 and 5 gallon presentation boxes, 9 and 18 gallon casks. They are available
for collection from the brewery itself or through our local distributor
JM & R Clarke of Oswestry.
